could you possibly take a picture of him or even better a video and post it on you tube. Then we could see better what is going on...but it sounds like maybe a joint issue...I would really work with him and his muscle tone. There is someone with wire hair terriers on another list who has a puppy with no kneecaps where the two leg bones don't connect at all and she just worked with him using a towel to hold him up while he walked and moving his legs like a bicycle for him for a while each day and now he walks and runs just fine because his muscles are strong enough to hold him up I will look for her posts and video so you can see.
