Hi everyone I will jump in here about RAW... I understand both sides of raw feeding (feed or not feed). as I said in one of my posts, I know that in the wild, dogs, and big cats eat raw. I have not educated myself on raw feeding, so I can not give my opinion on pro's or con's. The ones who feed raw I am sure know exactly what they are doing. I believe that what ever someone wants to feed there pets is up to them as long as they feed good quality foods, and what works. I may find down the road that raw may be the way to go with Ricky. But for now, he seems not to like raw...at least not the way I did it. lol. but right now he seems not to like anything! I think he is holding out.. for human foods! I do not know what he was eating before he came to me. The SPCA will not contact the previous owner for me to ask some questions about food or health.
for now I am going to buy the Solid Gold Hundchen flocken sm breed puppy food. I will stick to it, without any changes. I am confusing Ricky to much with changing food every other day. (I am just a worry wort). anyway... this group is such a help, and very knowledgeable, and I am happy I found you all. To the person who put down RAW FEEDING. Remember, everyone has a right to feed as they want. you can disagree with it, but do it with respect. I do not enjoy a group that always fights loudly and with disrespect over and over.
