PS - random thought - a training class is FULL of distractions (other dogs, new people, a store with all sorts of exotic fragrances just begging to be smelled, etc).
To me, the class would be where YOU would learn the methods to teach your dog and then the best place to teach them at first would be at home - a place with minimal distractions. Then as your dog becomes better, you add the distractions - little bit at a time. Mary
