The coat growth does change their appearance. Since thickness, length, and
amount of coat vary from dog to dog, it will be your big surprise!

Well I find that many stop growing to height at 6 months but then they
begin to fill out giving them there body mass...The smallest I have bred has
been 4 lbs and that is only if I have a real small male available who has
small lines...

Well even as a breeder I know the concern my smallest being 2 1/2 lbs and
several at 3 lbs will not go under unless emg..I worked for several vet's
in my day and seen first hand that there are not always happy out comes..I
would keep her up or put panties on her if she were mine...Go with your
Heart and Gut she is your baby and if you don't feel right let her get older
fill out more and stop growing completely if you still feel the same way
then don't do it..

I do not plan on breeding my dog she is ckc regstered but I do not even
plan on getting her papers...my question is she is so little it scares me to
even get her spayed is this something I should worry about?

The Vet said she wouldn't even think about spaying her until she was 3
pounds well she is 3.2 now and it just scares me she is so little. I have
always had big dogs before.

Do you suggest I not spay her and just keep diapers when she is in heat
or go ahead and spay her that it is safe for tiny dogs once they are old
enough?

I know I seem a little crazy but she is my first one and I would hate for
something to happen to her. Ellen
