Hi Peggy...i really think it isn't actual pain but more anxiety...my guys
dream...whine a little and run in their sleep...I always think that the
whinning
is part of the dream...like the excitement or anxiety they might feel in a
chase
or fight. I usually wake them up if I am right there because of the experience
with Nugget...sometimes he will do this right before a seizure hits so it
scares
me to death that the others might have the same issue...they never have so
far...but it just makes me uncomfortable!...i know...i know...a little
over-protective huh????

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Bad dreams or pain?

I've heard it said that when a dog cries in their sleep it means they are in
pain. If that is true, how do you know the difference between just a bad dream
or they are really in pain?
Any thoughts?....
