There's a difference between being treated for heartworms and being given heartworm prevention medication. Gloria In a message dated 11/5/2010 7:47:34 P.M. Central Daylight Time, [email protected] writes:
I'm not sure either unless we misunderstood. My hubby just decided to go ahead then give him the heart worm medicine. Have you been giving yours heart worm medicine and have they had any effects. He's been tested for heart worms and it came back negative, he didn't have it. So wouldn't the medicine prevent him from getting it. And I think she said not to give him the puppy heart worm medicine I'm not sure. But when we went to our vets office that's the medicine they gave us. --- In [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) , "dasha" <dash...@...> wrote: > > we not even give him the heartworm prevention medicine, because she's had > cases were the dog has gotten sick any way after taking the heartworm > medicine to prevent the heart worms. > > =================================== > > This is mostly I think if he has not been tested.
