I'm cooking as usual. Deer shoulder and wild turkey. Vegetables from the garden. The basics.

We always go out to eat on Thanksgiving.. I am in recovery and about a 40 or so of my closest friends get together for Potluck and fellowshipping. It is awesome .. Been doing it for about 7 yrs now and I look forward to it every year. My kids all live about 2 hrs away or in different states, so they don't come home for thanksgiving. I used to always work on Thanksgiving so we never really had it for a long time as I was a single parent and they ate with other people's family. It is now what I expected life would be like but we do all make sure we speak to each other on a regular basis.

Christmas is pretty much the same deal except I will cook a special meal for my hubby of stuff he likes. We are just not big holiday people, my kids are elsewhere (they are not his) and our parents are gone except for my biological Mom in Fla. So we are non traditional.. Lol

So, who is cooking this year at home? And who gets the pleasure of going elsewhere and having the meal cooked for them?

I am staying home cooking for my little family here in vegas. just the 4 of us people and little Ricky who I am sure will be enjoying some turkey & goodies!

shanna
