You have to consider that a rescue is paying for the Vet check up, adoption fee from the shelter, spay/neuter, booster, rabies, HW test/meds, flea meds and sometimes they already know that the dog is also going to need dental. So if you pay $250.-350.00 it still is a deal, because you would pay twice+ that to buy one no matter how you look at it and you ARE saving a life! Their are over 1,600 Yorkies listed on Petfinders in CA alone. So I am sure that if you keep searching you will find a pure breed, young female. The Indiana rescue had puppies too.
Their is no rush, it took me 3months to find the chi that I wanted, and longer to find Princess. If you really want to save a dog, then like me, you will give it the time that is needed. So who's to say that your Yorkie may not be listed right now, but maybe a month from now the Lord will let you see the one He wants you to have. First of all the Lord would have to give me $900...as thats what she is asking for the female...great price for her but there is no $900 in my bank account right now!!!...SEcond...she is in TX and I am in CA...the Lord would have to get me there or her here...so lots of obstacles!
