You are right Peggy but much of what you list that the rescues do I would want to do my way in my own time... no spaying until after 2nd heat...no boosters...no flea meds...no HW meds...so thats no deal for me...LOL! So if you pay $250.-350.00 it still is a deal, because you would pay twice+ that to buy one no matter how you look at it and you ARE saving a life! Their are over 1,600 Yorkies listed on Petfinders in CA alone. So I am sure that if you keep searching you will find a pure breed, young female. The Indiana rescue had puppies too. Their is no rush, it took me 3months to find the chi that I wanted, and longer to find Princess. If you really want to save a dog, then like me, you will give it the time that is needed. So who's to say that your Yorkie may not be listed right now, but maybe a month from now the Lord will let you see the one He wants you to have.
