MJ...thanks, I have to admit the hormone change was in back of my mind. She
is due for a blood test again in January to make sure her kidneys are still
stable, so I guess I will ask about this too. I doubt that it is her diet,
they are both on all natural foods including treats. Everything is chicken
based.

I googled and found several interesting sites. Maybe something here
will help.
I wonder if it could be an allergy? Is it getting worse, Peggy? I
think if I found
a bald spot on Benji I'd take her to the vet to see if he could figure out
what was
causing it.
Just trying to brainstorm this with you. Wish I knew more.....

I did notice one starting behind her front leg on her tummy, and the fur on
the front of her chest has really thinned out a lot.

When I first got her, the Vet did say that she would shed due to the stress
of a new environment. I know that when Princess went into heat, afterwards
she shed lot too, but by the second month it did lighten up.The same thing
happened after Princess was spayed. That's not what I am seeing with Gigi.

MJ,
That’s a very good point that you make regarding being comfy in the home. I
wondered if Jack’s shedding had anything to do with the fact that I just
adopted him and he’s still adjusting to his new surroundings.

I've been using the Pledge fabric sweeper for pet hair.... it is
disposable. I find it does
a credible job. Benji is short coat and sheds year round. Not so much
now that it is
colder and she is more comfy living with us.

Does a Chi Ever stop shedding? Gig finished her heat by the end of Aug.
Then at the end of Sept she got spayed. So I expected she would go through a
heavy shed due to hormonal changes. But now that two months have passed, I
don't see the shedding lighting up, if anything it's worse. I thought that
after two months from the spaying that she would stop shedding. Is this
normal for a Chi? Do they shed all year around?
Also I have two old fantastic lint removers that work great for Eskie fur,
but don't for Chi fur. It's like the chi fur sticks into the material like
needles. What brand and type do you ladies use to get it off of your clothes
and furniture?
