Desi would not walk on a leash. He would run around the house with it on,
but as soon as I put him on the sidewalk.STOP. He would take a couple steps
and then stop. So, I was walking and Dolly was walking and as long as I
kept going slowly ahead he would follow. After while he did start walking
in front. I think that when they stand on the sidewalk and look ahead it
may be kind of scary.in the house they see a wall, but on the sidewalk
nothing.and maybe that scares them.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Leash training HELP

Ladies,

I have never had problems leash training my dogs, but Maggie just puts the
brakes on and does not want to do it. I let Abbey go in front, I have
dangled treats in front of her. I have been working and working with her and
she is so stubborn (but I love that about her too). She learns every thing
else so easy so what am I doing wrong - please help me!!!!! I feel like I
have never owned a dog before!
