I didn't see any of that with Dolly.but she was spayed before her first
heat.

When I had Desi neutered, I was told that it can take up to a month for all
the hormones to be out of his body.

Gloria, Dani was spayed last Wed the 26th. she was fine up until she was
spayed. Friday when I went home to check on her she was crying and seemed
upset, I thought maybe she was having some pain, so gave her some pain meds.
When I came home in the evening, she wasn't any different. She started
collecting some of her small stuffed toys and putting them in her bed, also
started nesting, Last few days she has added to her brood with different
toys. She has been carrying her fav around, whimpering and just not sure
where she wants to be. I called my regular vet, they said too bring her in
in a week if she has not changed. Went to the Humane soc. where it was done,
and they say it is due to her hormones and the fact that she was in heat
just a month ago, said she could be this way for 2 wks to a month. She is
eating normal, poop n and pee n all okay.

So her behavior is from being spayed.

Why do you think her behavior ties in to having her spayed? What does your
vet say? I've heard of some female dogs having "false" pregnancies and
treating objects like babies but can' t remember what the cause was thought
to be. I would be very concerned about her confusion. I hope you can find
out what's going on and some treatment to make it better. Please keep us
posted.
