If all goes well your little guy should be fine when you pick him up. If the neutering was done that day, you might want to ask for a pain pill (I gave my little guy one on the day he was neutered right before he went to bed). Some vets use cones (goes over the head and around the neck) to keep the dog from licking or pulling on the stitches, some don't, so you will have to make sure he (or your other dog) doesn't mess with them. While wearing the cone, he may have difficulties eating and drinking while wearing it, so he may need some help. With time, they figure it out. Other than that, it should all be OK. Gloria
