I have an Oreck, it seems to clog allot. Even a small piece of paper will clog
the Vac. It does a good job at dirt, as for hair, I am up in the air about
that.
Depending on what model of Oreck you buy, they include xx # number of years of
free cleaning of the vac.

Yes for the animals. There are several of their vacuums that are super good.
or
try a Oreck, it is better than a Hoover but not as good as a Dyson

I just read the comments on the Dyson site and they weren't good. People
complained about parts breaking, so i already changed my mind on theirs.
Maybe I will just get another Hoover.

My sister bought the animal a few years ago. It broke, they replaced it
3
times, she final;y gave up and got her money back and bought a Hoover.

They have several types now, including an upright and canister
called Animal, that is suppose to be designed just for pet hair. I
am going to shop around in the stores and take a look at them. I
would really love to have one that is much more quiet then the
Hoover was, that thing could wake the dead it was so loud, but it
did a good job for 5 years.

Yes, it works on carpet and all other floors also. you can switch
between carpet and bare floor. It is amazing for pet hair. Dyson
will let you return any product you don't like. They are expensive
but for me worth every cent

I'm also in need of a new vacuum, does the all floor mean it
works on carpet and tile floors? and good for pet hair? It
sounds to good to be true.

My Dyson is a Dyson All Floors. I love it. It has tons of
attachments and a low under the furniture piece also. It is
so light weight too

A Lindhaus is a Swedish vacuum...it's my upstairs one and
has
tools on board. I bought it because of my parrots...lots of
seeds, nuts, feathers and tiny wood chunks. It handles
everything really well including bird molting fluff. It has
been going strong now for 7 years and is always
trustworthy...the only thing I have ever come close to the
power and reliability of my Kirby...but kirbys are sooooooo
heavy and have no inboard tools. The Lindhaus is very light!!

I had a Kirby years and years ago when they use to sell them
door to door. Don't think they do anymore, at least not here
anyway. Never heard of a Lindhaus

Okay, I am taking a much needed survey.....My Hoover
died today thanks to Princess's gorgeous fur!

Not only did I clean out the part where the belt goes
and had to use the dog comb to get all the fur off of
the brush, and changed the belt, but then when I
opened
the motor, I was shocked to see that everything was
embedded with her fur. So I need a machine that can
really suck up her fur without killing it's motor
guts,
lol!

What Brand and Model# do you all use? Are you very
happy with your vacuum cleaner, especially for dog fur?
