I think that she is beautiful. I remember when I got Dolly, I was reading some books on Chihuahuas. The book said that when a breeder has a litter, the first normally goes to the sire's owner. The remaining puppies are then allowed to grow a little to see what changes happen over those first few weeks. If it is a show quality dog, then the breeder sells it as such (or keeps it for themselves if they are actually breeding to show dogs themselves.) The rest of the puppies are sold as 'Pet Quality.' I don't really care that the pattern on their bodies, heads, feet are not 'perfect', nor do I care that they may be bigger than 6 lbs (both of mine are!). Dolly had an umbilical hernia that was repaired and that was fine also (however now the repair has broken apart and the vet checks it and would let me know if it gets to the point where she would need surgery for it.) Can you imagine if adoption agencies worked in that way.oh, this baby costs more because of this or that.when you adopt a baby you take it with what it has; and when you adopt a pet you are also taking it with what it has. I have heard that many of the 'show quality' dogs also have serious health problems. And then when they breed those show quality to show quality the incidence of health problems is increased. I am happy with my two.I couldn't love them anymore. I normally don't have to worry about stepping on top of them when they are running around me, etc.

Yes, she has a large dark grey, used to be black, spot on her side towards her behind. She's what is called parti-color, not a show dog but a sweet precious little girl. Gloria
