Is the cooked chicken frozen? Take a piece and re-boil it to make more broth. I really think he needs to drink water. I carry a bottle of water with me where ever I go, since Emiliano won't drink from a bottle or from a travel bowl, I have a syringe that I carry in my purse and use it to squirt some water into his mouth whenever I see his tongue starting to hang out. You might try that with Monster. Its just too darn hot for humans and animals. Take care. Gloria In a message dated 7/2/2011 2:23:12 P.M. Central Daylight Time, [email protected] writes:
Monster has been swallowing a lot lately and just doesn't seem like himself. So, I took him to the vet yesterday and they did a blood test that showed he's dehydrated. The vet said that he could be in a little bit of pain from the disk disease so he's not wanting to bend down and drink a lot. He hasn't really showed any signs of pain but he has seemed to eat slower and not want to bend down. So, he is back on his pain meds to see if they help and adding water to his food. She also mentioned I could give him the chicken broth after cooking his chicken but I cooked some last week and won't need to for a couple weeks. Does anyone buy chicken broth and give it to your puppies? I just think Monster would like that better than just water and he may drink more of it. Thanks, Lorena Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T
