Maybe the chicken broth would help. Maybe dilute it a bit to decrease the sodium? Stinky my 18 yo chi'doxie mix has been coughing his little head off. I am going to have to take him in and see if maybe it is his heart. I am quite sure it is at his age. Although I did out Frontline on him......I better wash it off since he is so old. He nmay not be able to tolerate it huh? I always give him a decreased dose but....??? Well prayers for little Monster and you too. Hugs,Mare -------Original Message------- From: [email protected] Date: 7/2/2011 2:23:14 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Chihuahuas] Monster Monster has been swallowing a lot lately and just doesn't seem like himself. So, I took him to the vet yesterday and they did a blood test that showed he s dehydrated. The vet said that he could be in a little bit of pain from the disk disease so he's not wanting to bend down and drink a lot. He hasn't really showed any signs of pain but he has seemed to eat slower and not want to bend down. So, he is back on his pain meds to see if they help and adding water to his food. She also mentioned I could give him the chicken broth after cooking his chicken but I cooked some last week and won't need to for a couple weeks. Does anyone buy chicken broth and give it to your puppies? I just think Monster would like that better than just water and he may drink more of it. Thanks, Lorena Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T
