I know that my vet always checks how old the dog is before doing a spay/neuter and if they are beyond a certain age they do pre-op blood work to make sure that they are OK as far as some other things. I don’t know if the vet that spayed BB did such testing. BB is happy and running and playing at Rainbow Bridge and she is looking down on you and thanking you for being such a good Mommy. When I spoke to the County of LA Spay Nutor program, that was the same information I gotten about how old she should be.. I and my boyfriend arand been crrying all day since I broke the news to him..
