Hi Tammy
Welcome to the group. Pleased to have you here.
I have bred several kinds of dogs in my lifetime.
Let's see the Chihuahua of course,Cairn Terrier,West Highland White Terrier
Australian Terrier,Poodle,Beagle and currently Mini Dachshunds.
I can tell you Chihuahua's are hands down behavior wise and getting along
without fighting each other. The dachshunds are sweet, love to be lap sitters
but they do fight. I have been bitten several times. The poodle is a laid
back dog but I just don't think they are as intelligent as the Chihuahua is.
I currently have three boys. I lost my female to a vascular ca.
Don't know if I helped you at all but I sure rambled.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Introduction

Hi. My name is Tammy. I live in Southern Indiana, and am a wife, mother, and
full time college student. I am also disabled with many different problems
including diabetes, PTSD, anxiety disorder, thyroid disease, tachycardia,
and many others.

I currently have a 3 year old lab mix female named Summer. She is an
owner-trained service dog that has helped to make my life much easier for
about two years now. Unfortunately, she is no longer able to be a service
dog, and has had to retire, at my service dog trainer's request. I am also
now in a wheelchair so I no longer need a big dog for mobility assist, and
would rather go with a small dog instead. I am currently considering the
chihuahua, the yorkie, and the toy/miniature poodle.

My sister has had chihuahuas all of her life, and I have had a few when I
was much younger. I love them. I am looking for a dog that can ride on my
lap, do a diabetic response/alert, PTSD support, anxiety support.

I would like to learn all I can about the chihuahua so that I can see if we
are a good match for each other.

I look forward to learning here and getting to know you all better.

Tammy
