Anne
Linda again. I just read another response of yours. I too did not
want to train Malenka to go in the house. My vet said this would confuse her
and a believed she could go outside which she has. In response to the fact
that Lily is not asking to go outside it took Malenka even longer to go to the
door. At first she would just put her paws on the glass and we would respond
right away. After a year old she started to huff or bark if I was out of the
room. Each dogs situation is different and maybe because Lily was not in a
house the first 2 months and went wherever it will take a liittle while longer.
She understands to pee outside just not inside. I too wondered if Malenka would
ever stop peeing. She'd do well and then pee. I would go overboard with the
praise and treats when she pees outside. And run her out when she pees or poops
inside. I did notignore her accidents if I was there. I only ignored them it I
came across them way to late.
Keep in touch
Linda
