Exactly right! Just what my vet. told me.

The bone cannot be cooked, right? I don’t feed mine bones but I think I
remember that if it is cooked then it splinters and can cause problems.

I feed my chi chicken bones all the time. Just a small amount to start with, as
bone really firms up their stool. The acid in their stomach is more than
capable of digesting bone. Just make sure they don't swallow whole as kibble
fed pups are much less accustomed to chewing. Good luck, let me know if I can
be of any further help

Now I need a question answered. My vet mentioned giving my chi’s raw chicken
necks and wings to help clean their teeth. Okay, is that safe? I worry about
broken sharp points on the bones. I’ve always gotten big beef bones for them
to chew on, but they could not break the bones.
