Dogs do not get Parvo from eating in the litter box. Cats do not carry Parvo.
So …..your puppy was exposed to the disease somewhere (have you been showing it
off to your friends before he got his first shots?) Puppies should never be
taken anywhere until at least 10 days after they are vaccinated.

Subject: [Chihuahuas] Litter box visitor

My chi Poco seems to like to visit the cats' litter box for a "treat" which is
a disgusting habit to say the least. The litter box's location must remain
where it is so any suggestions on keeping him away from there? Tonight I mildly
scolded him by bringing him back to the scene of the crime and letting him know
that it wasn't a good idea to be in the pantry where the box is. Poco knows it
is wrong because he acts guilty.

Any suggestions on how to break this behavior? He's been doing this primarily
recently and not the first few months after we adopted him.

Alan
