It is so hard to know what they were thinking. Were the dogs going to be used for something horrible and cruel. If they had good intentions, then they wouldn't be hiding them. Some people are not right in their heads, and I hope that the dogs go to good homes. You don't get 140 dogs because you want a pet, and there are so many dogs in shelters being euthanized each day.
I just hope that all the dogs are, and will continue to be, safe. As with a lot of news items, it starts out as one thing and then in order to the media sensationalism it starts to weave a web that keeps on growing. It is possible that those women could be hoarders who did save a bunch of dogs, but like most hoarders, they don't really know how to take care of that many dogs properly.
