Deer Head chis are generally larger with much longer legs and longer muzzles, bigger ears, and usually don't display the very round skull that an Applehead. Apple heads also have much shorter muzzles.

Ceci is my very first Chihuahua so I know little about them other than that they are small. What is a 'deer' Chihuahua or an 'applehead'? Know that refers to Chihuahuas, but don't know how.
When you feed raw, obviously there is going to be left over raw stuff... Do you freeze it?
