Nancy, That (what you said) is exactly what I am doing. I’m waiting. She did not recognize me and tried to bite. Not a problem. She drank, but would not eat. She did go pee when I took her outside. I have fixed a very nice thick bed with food, water and papers. I am waiting for God to call her home or my check to arrive, so I can send her to her master (Jim my husband, who is with Jesus) Judy Moon I serve a risen Savior John 3:16 From:[email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Nancy Sent: Thursday, February 02, 2012 7:52 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Chihuahuas] I'm asking for helpful advice not condemnation. Judy, Is she still urinating? If so, that is a good sign. If she does not seem to be in pain, you could just make her as comfortable as possible, have food available if she wants it, keep her hydrated as much as you can (even if you have to spoon feed her liquids), and let God make the determination. If she starts acting like she is in pain, you may have to change your path accordingly. You could wake up in the morning to find that her time has come, or there is a chance she could be feeling better. If nothing has changed when your check comes in, you will have to decide then what you want to do. Or, you could continue waiting. Jewell was my husband’s dog and so has a very special meaning and attachment to me. She is at least 13 yrs old. For 3 days she has had a low grade black diaherrea. Not squirting, just a few dribbles. I looked up what that could mean and it says internal bleeding. She ate well this morning and both meals the other 2 days. She just lays on the couch all day, except when I take her out. She does not appear to be in pain. Now here is the rest of my problem. I’ve had one emergency after another which has drained my resources down to nothing. Credit cards are maxed out, checking account is overdrawn. I am NOT asking for money. I just want to know if you think I should put her to sleep when my check comes in if she has not improved.
