We call it the “goose” sound. 2 of my 3 do it frequently.

My Twiggy makes sounds like this all the time. My vet calls it a reverse
sneeze. She does this in her sleep or when she’s really excited about seeing
me and wants attention. My vet told me that there’s really nothing to be
concerned about unless it turns into more of a wheezing sound because then it
means that there could be something going on with her respiratory system.
That’s how she got the nickname little Miss Twiggy Piggy. J

I adopted two dogs from the pound the vet said she is 3 1/2 pounds no worms
everything great but urine infection probably two years old. They said a guy
brought them in and said he went to clean a house cause the people left and
they left these two behind. So the pound kept them for ten days just in case
the people came back for them. The pound was cold in there too. Her lungs are
clear but she sounds congested sometimes. He put her on liguid Clavamox for
fourteen days. He said she might have gotten a very mild case of kennel cough.
It really sounds like little pig noises. Just wondered if the toy ones just
make sounds like this? Thanks

Randi
