Oh Eileen, I'm so sorry to hear this. Your stress levels must be out of sight.
Monday, apply for unemployment and check into any crisis house you may have in
your area. They will give you options about how to get more discounts and even
free food.
Also, contact your gas and electric company along with the phone company and
get your bill lowered right away. They do that here for us low income folks.
Hopefully, that alone will compensate for your rent increase.
When I got laid off, I had just bought my mobile home and was devastated. My
income dropped by 2/3. I contacted every agency I could think of and received a
lot of help. I even got free bread and day old bakery items once a week.
There's a food program that you can enroll in too.
Stay strong and try to keep your head up. It's very very rough, but you can get
through it.
Hugs and prayers to you,
Carolyn

Subject: [Chihuahuas] OT: I just got laid off

I just got laid off from my job, and they just gave me a notice that they are
increasing my rent. I need some good luck to come along but I am worried about
what the third thing that is going to go wrong because bad news comes in
threes.

But it is going to get tough to care for my babies especially Nyala who is 18
and has kidney failure, heart murmur and ataxia. I just feel so numb from it
all happening right now.

Thank you,
Eileen and 6 chi babies
