Thanks to you and Pam for the warning for the Comfortis. I had wondered how
that product was doing. I have used K9Advantix on Princess, for years and
no reactions and never any fleas or ticks. I only used it on Gigi once, but
that was when I first got and during those weeks she also had a Booster Shot
and was spayed. Then she started the seizures, so it is difficult to say as
to which one actually started the seizures. So no more Booster shots and no
more rabies shots either. Who is going to know as to whether you give a dog
a rabies shot or not, unless the dog bites someone and then they check. To
many of the Vets that did all that research on the immunity level of all the
shots, believe that dogs only need one rabies shot for a life time immunity.
Add to the fact, that there hasn't been a case of rabies in NY for over 22
years and they haven't even seen it in wildlife during those years. So I am
not going to worry about it.

I never used anything on Gigi last summer and was lucky that she never got
any fleas. I am afraid to try anything on her now, so I still have no clue
what I can do for her this year. I know that the fleas are bad this year
because of the warm winter that we have had, and Princess must have had a
couple on her a few weeks ago, because she was scratching and I got bit
several times when I was playing with her. So she got bathed and I put K9 on
her, and luckily I didn't find anything on Gigi, nor did I catch her
scratching. Hey, maybe if Gigi stays close to Princess, it will be enough
to ward off fleas on her too, LOL!

I told my vet and he suggestd anything without primryhrins for ticks. But
mine had a reaction to comfortis too, vomiting and they smelled so bad of
pesticides, my dogs would eat it. And I am getting some all natural herbs to
try spot on next time. He oked it. I called epa and reported it. But they
have 75,000 reports of incidents and deaths and are still not doing anything
My vet said they report all cases too.
