That is the problem.  This is a potentially aggressive, complicated breed.  
IMHO, not many owners are qualified to own these dogs.  Until there is 
legislation limiting ownership, this will continue to happen.  For now, those 
particular pitts will no longer hurt anyone..animal or human.

No, I sure don't. 

But it does make me wonder what happened - what signals were missed
    - what the dogs were like (their energy levels, etc) and wonder if
    perhaps the owners "doting" on the dog was part of the problem?
