Sadly, there is/are abundant proof, scientific evidence, and statistics
that pits cause more deaths and injuries to both humans and other animals.
The pits that killed my dogs had also mauled a pony so badly it had to be
put down, they killed several cats, and injured my neighbors black lab so
badly that tho he survived, the vet bills were more than $2000.00, and was
scared for life. I knew none of this the day I left my dogs securely in my
house with the backdoor open to their kennel in the backyard. A 6 foot
tall kennel made of very sturdy chain link dog kennel material. Obviously,
my dogs went outside into the kennel. The pits apparently beat and beat on
the kennel gate until they caved it in. Police report on this, the gate
had been clearly caved in from the outside. It must have taken a
remarkable amount of strength and, frankly, blood lust to do this.
For some reason my onscreen keyboard is on center--no clue, I'll send and
try to reboot
BTW, I still really love most pits,so good stuff to come.
