Let's see...I used to be a breeder so I will try to help all I can.
First off the honey is probably causing the diarrhea. It is really much much
better to off the puppy cal version of Nutri-cal. I believe but wouldn't
sewar...that Walmart even carries it now. You can still give the honey but
please back off just a tad bit. Be sure and 'well verse' yourself on the
signs and symptoms of hypoglycemia(low blood sugar). Panting, dull eyes, dry
mouth,listlessness are a few.
Your baby thrives on attention at this age. He needs to interact with the
whole family so he will be a social being !
If he clings to just one person he will become to think he 'owns' that one
person. You want him to love everyone to prevent problems.
At this age they appreciate something to chew on too...:)
Milk biscuits are always good and then the bully sticks are awesome for
teething.
He needs to have his own place to rest and sleep at night so he will grow
strong also.
If you have trouble with 'puppy biting' just gently but firmly enforce the
single word NO.
You may contact me anytime you have anything to discuss.
Best wishes from Oklahoma
Mare

Subject: [Chihuahuas] New Baby

I have a new teacup longhaired chihuahua. I had a little scare with
hypoglycemia. I already love this baby as one of my children. I am doing
everything I can to take care of him. His name is Sir Peanut and he is 4
months old. If you have any tips I would greatly appreciate them. I am
giving him honey with his meal. He sleeps a lot. He is active when he is up
though. He is eating about 3 times a day. He is getting diarhea often though
Please help me take care of my baby.
