I want all of you to know what a support Mare was to me during that time. She contacted me and asked if she could call me and I told her of course. So, we talked, She gave me advise, she prayed for Emiliano, she sympathized with me and it had a great calming affect on me. I could "feel" the caring and the support and it helped me alot . I've said "thank you" before but want to say it again, thank you, Mare.

We were so relieved when he 'turned around' for the better.
It has been a wonderful pleasure to see him grow!
Huggins,

I know a Chi breeder who suggests putting a tsp of honey into the water, each time you change the water in the bowl. When I got Emiliano, the breeder (not the one who recommended the honey) told me he was 8 weeks old and eating on his own. I got him on a Saturday, took him to the vet on Monday. Found he weighed a half of a pound and the vet suspected he was younger than 8 weeks, he had Giargia and was put on medication, which I started immediately. On Tuesday morning, he woke up wagging his tail, I went to get his food and medicine, came back and he was laying on the floor, limp as a rag, he had crashed. I opened his mouth, rubbed Nutrical on his gums, wrapped him in a towel, put him in my boosom, begging him to hang on. While still in my nightgown, I drove to the vet. He was in intensive care for two or three days (don't remember now) and I had to feed him every 3 hours, a round the clock. It cost me a bundle and it was hard on an old lady like me but he lived, and is worth every penny and what I went through. I wrote his story and it was purblished in Chihuahua Connection magazine, I 'll have to look for it and will email to the list.

Where did you get your new baby? Has he seen a veterinarian? That might be good to get him checked out. I adopted a stray Liza. She was treated for everything before I got her but I still had her checked out by a vet when I got her home.
Just a suggestion. He sounds adorable.

His name is Sir Peanut and he is 4 months old. If you have any tips I would greatly appreciate them. I am giving him honey with his meal. He sleeps a lot. He is active when he is up though. He is eating about 3 times a day. He is getting diarhea often though. Please help me take care of my baby.
