Some breeders refuse to take responsibility for selling you a sick puppy. So, I
would certainly take the word of the vet over the breeder. By now, you should
have read my tale of woe with my baby. When he was diagnosed with Giargia, the
vet told me to notify the breeder, because the entire litter needed to be
treated. When I called, the breeder starting yelling at me and telling me his
dogs were not sick. I also asked him to pay for the medications for the Giargia
and he refused, saying "send the dam dog back to me". Of course you all could
see me doing that! For your baby, I strongly recommend that you buy a tube of
Nutrical (sp?) to have on hand. When he's not eating well, you can squeeze a
little bit from the tube into his mouth. It is most important that he eats at
least twice a day. Good luck.

Gloria

I live in La Porte, TX. I bought him from a breeder in Baytown, TX this past
Saturday. I had him at the vet on Monday due to the diarhea and sleepiness.
Vet did not think he was healthy. Breeder said that it was just Hypoglycemia.
So I am giving him the honey and he seems to do better. He does sleep a lot
though. He is very playful when he gets up though. I am assuming he is okay,
but I keep him with me so that I can monitor him all the time.

Where did you get your new baby? Has he seen a veterinarian? That might be good
to get him checked out. I adopted a stray Liza. She was treated for everything
before I got her but I still had her checked out by a vet when I got her home.

Just a suggestion. He sounds adorable.
