Sue,Giving a home to an animal in need is lovely thing. I hope to find the right dog for me. My husband works from home and I am a homebody when I am not working. He is very good with dogs. They just love them.Catherine

Two are ours and one is a foster. We got them all as adults and they get along beautifully unless there is a particularly desirable bone involved. The shelter I work at does test all the dogs to see if they get along with cats before they will let them go into a household that has them. We take care of our son's (male)cats when they vacation. One of our Chi's loves to actually play with the cats, one just tolerates them and the other will chase them is we let him. One of the cats loves the Chi's and the other is afraid of them but would probably do OK if he was here longer since he is bigger than all of them! I would love to see you find a local rescue that really knows their animals to adopt from!Sue On Mon, Jul 16, 2012 at 12:31 AM, Catherine Padma <[email protected]> wrote: Peggy,Thank you. You have given me a lot to think about. I actually could go either way as to a puppy or an adult or a young adult or even a retired breeder. I want to find a responsible breeder who knows their dogs and can make a decision about which one will fit into my household. I love their sweet face, their size and their greatness as a companion.Catherine --- On Sun, 7/15/12, Peggy & The Girls <[email protected]> wrote:
