Not a fan of Cesar and believe the same thing can be accomplished in different
ways, however I do love that he does not discriminate against certain breeds
like Pits.

If he is that bad, were he constantly bites you then it sounds like you
may need an in home trainer, if you don't know how to do it. Most of the times
it is not the dog that is untrained, but the owner. I prefer the reward and
ignore training, but that depends on the dog. If he is really bad at aggression
then maybe he needs the leash corrective training.

You didn't explain to much about him. How old is he? How long have you
had him? How long has he been like this? Have you ever taught him the basic
commands, such as sit, stay, down, come, wait, leave it, and that he does those
commands the very first time you tell him? Both my girls know those and many
more commands and do them instantly, even with just hand signals. A dog no
matter how big or small needs structure and guidance so that they never feel
that they have to be the pack leader because the owner isn't, which is 99% of
the time the real problem.

Here are two of my favorite videos by Cesar Millan training a nasty chi.
So simple and so quick to do. You just have to take a deep breath, feel relaxed
and calm and assertive, and don't show any hesitation or fear of being bit, or
you will never train him. Yup, like Rebecca, whom I agree with, many chi owners
don't believe in really training their chis, or don't want to take the time to
train them. But you have to ask yourself...would these same people accept this
kind of behavior if the dog was a lot larger?......Probably not, so why allow
it from a chi? It is still a dog and not a cuddly human baby, which is where
most chi owners make their mistake. Even a chi or any toy breed needs guidance
and doesn't really want to feel that it has to be the pack leader.

Once you get those basic training commands down, whether you choose the
reward with a treat, or with verbal praise, the average dog knows that you are
in charge, and any other issues that should come about, are so much easier to
control, because the dog knows that you are in control. Once he knows that you
are in control, he becomes much more relaxed, and trusting of people. That full
trust is what makes them want to please and obey.

Anyone out there experiencing the same, please write about how you deal
with these behaviors. I love my Chihuahua with all my heart but the biting has
scared most of my body. Any ideas???
