Well, Dolly had Desi cleaning her face and preening her since his second day 
here.  It is a submissive behavior in Desi's case.  Dolly will look at him and 
he will start licking...and if that doesn't work, she will take one of her legs 
and tap it against Desi to get his attention and then he starts licking and 
cleaning.  I used to watch Dolly before I got Desi and think of what a good big 
sister she would be...I could envision her licking the puppy like a Mama would 
do...no way...Diva Dolly Dee is the Alpha and she will stand very tall and not 
move as he is cleaning her if she is standing up.  I have observed Desi doing 
the same thing when Mandy is over here...the same standing still while Mandy is 
submissive to him and cleans his face.
