Welcome Melissa !  Thanks for rescuing a chi !  I have 4 Chis , 3 are rescues . 
They are like potato chips - 
you can't have just one ? Lol
Chis are wonderful dogs , totally loyal
and snuggly once they have bonded .
Look for a dry food that has chicken as the first ingredient on the back label ,
Not corn .  Small bites is good too but
not necessary for all Chis . 
Small dogs can be nervous at first - you
would be too if you were that small lol.
Enjoy getting to know your new baby ,
