Thanks for the question. I have 2 Chi's. they're my first. Always had dachshunds and never bathed them unless they got dirty, which was rare. I was under the impression that too many bathes caused dry skin. Also I can't stand wet dog smell and my 2 have that horrible smell. I never noticed it with dachshunds.
