Thanks, Arrow lists it as "not available". I actually posted this request a little too soon (sorry), because I found slight variations of the Sharp part number at Digikey.com (such as GP1F31T and the apparent replacement to GP1F31T, the GP1FA511TZ and relatives (find them all by searching digikey for "Sharp" then choose the fiber optic transmitter section).
I was thrown by them not referring to "Toslink" anywhere. Maybe that's a Toshiba trade mark thing. The GP1FA511TZ is $1.03@100.
