F.Y.I:

Have a look at: www.ramtron.com, FRAM: Perhaps a little funny to use a 
F-RAM where you need only a RAM, but the 1E9 read/write cycles 
could help you out. They're serial, I2C/SPI and all sorts of sizes...
Not really expensive than too...
