NEC 9501 and NS +B9052

Hi everybody,
I'm new to this list. Here's my question: I have a board with what I think is called a vacuum fluorescent display. It's control by two 40-pin DIP ICs - one is labelled 9051B from NEC, the other +B9052 from National Semi.
I did a fair amount of web research, but no luck so far in finding any datasheets.
Maybe someone has an idea where I could find them...
