Hi, Also remove the Client for Microsoft networks (and File & Print Sharing) if you have then installed and reboot (or at very least, get of the networking properties).
The reinstalled them. This should cause windows to re-install all you drivers from the "orginal" CD and usually fixes things up. Also you should be able to ping yourself (ie the Localhost/127.0.0.1), without connecting (dialout).
