Number one would be the most effective solution! Number 2 won't do any good since the original E-mail is undoubtedly coming from someone else's machine. I've had the same problem (bounce messages from systems that I've never contacted). The reason why is that someone else is using MS Outlook and has my address in their address book. Their machine has a virus that's getting the addresses from THEIR address book and sending out E-mails showing those addresses (including my address) as the originator instead of the address of trhe machine that's ending them. There's not much that I could do about since they're weren't coming from my machine. However I did contact everyone that frequently e-mails me and asked them to check their machine for a virus. This problem can't be solved until everyone either gets rid of MS Outlook or MS finally adds some meaningfull security to Outlook and their other products.
