I'm measuring on a stand up card with driver sils blocking access. I don't have micrometers or a vernier guage because I am not a mechanical outfit and I do have teenagers who break things and then say "Oh! that should not have broken" :-(. > > >The packs I can buy are 10mm long, x 6mm wide > > > >I only need 74hc00, 74hc4049 74HC4050. > > > If you know the postfixes of those parts, you can look them up, e.g.: > http://www.toshiba.com/taec/components/Datasheet/TC74HC00DS.pdf The creeps don't print any postfixes. What I see is "74HC00A"; the datasheet indicates the sizes as follows: 74HC00AP Dip 14 74HC00AF SMT pack 10mm x 7.8mm (I wasn't far out :). I gather this is what I have and is for home (Japanese)consumption 74HC00AFN Standard smt pack ~6mm wide. Not available in Japan, according to the Datasheet :-o. -- With best Regards, Declan Moriarty. -- Author: Declan Moriarty INET: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fat City Hosting, San Diego, California -- http://www.fatcity.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To REMOVE yourself from this mailing list, send an E-Mail message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (note EXACT spelling of 'ListGuru') and in the message BODY, include a line containing: UNSUB CHIPDIR-L (or the name of mailing list you want to be removed from).
