HI, I followed your advice and took it slow. I waited a minimum of 10 seconds, I put a strangle hold on the plug and radio to insure the plug was fully into the socket. I double checked the USB plug was in the USB socket and it was connected to the Win 10 computer as COM 3.
the radio is still not connecting to CHIRP. About 3 seconds after starting the download, the radio seems to shut itself off and restart. thanks for your time and help.
