Use Device Manager to see what comm port you are connected to. Unplug and plug 
back in your cable, the one you are using will disappear and come back. Next, 
check the driver and cable model name. If it shows you are using a Prolific 
cable, roll back your driver to 3.2.0.0. 

When you are going thru the clone process, always read the radio first, modify 
your file, then write to the radio. When the instructions says to push the Set 
button, it is the fastest push you can do and release, don’t press too long.
