Issue 1311: Bad highlighting behavior for text boxes (switched single- and multi-line box behaviors?) http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1311
Comment #4 by mkterra: I've now tested Safari on Windows as well. Single-line text box behavior is similar to Chrome's, but is simpler and more consistent: Dragging anywhere above the horizontal highlights the left half of the line, and dragging anywhere below the horizontal highlights the right half. There's no random selection-inversions like in Chrome. (That said, I still think standard Windows behavior is more intuitive and permissive.) Multi-line text box behavior is also similar to Chrome's, but is actually a bit worse: The flickering problem seen in Chrome_multselectdown_anim2.gif occurs when dragging out of the box *leftward* as well. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
