Issue 3269: Chrome crashes frequently when double-clicking downloaded file http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=3269
Comment #42 by qwer1304: Finnur, The testcase is even simpler: The plot thickens: 1.With nvshell.dll disabled... 2.With gflags set on chrome.exe... 3.Go to http://www.daimi.au.dk/~ivan/CPT.html 4.Do a Save link as... on the first link http://www.daimi.au.dk/~ivan/ComZK08.pdf 5.In the dialog box that opens Right-Click but don't do anything! 6.Click Cancel 7.Result - Chrome either crashes (without a dump file) OR gets stuck!!! Same sequence with Firefox works fine!!! BTW, to be on the safe side I scanned the PC with: NOD32, Dr-Web, Lavasoft Ad-aware, PC Tools' Spyware Doctor, Mallwarebytes' Anti-Mallware, SmitfraudFix and the PC came up clean -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
