I can repro maximizing being completely broken in Jaunty's Compiz in ToT
(r26220).
Check out the attached video.
Clicking the maximize button maximizes the window but doesn't switch to the
restore
icon (implying that Chrome either didn't get the window state change or
didn't handle
it correctly). Clicking the button some more does nothing, and there are
no resize
edges. Dragging the window out of maximized mode by its titlebar makes
compiz
restore it to the original size, but then we have the state wrong again and
draw the
restore button (i.e. we think it's maximized at this point).
