Comment #4 on issue 22082 by thomasran: network proxy settings regression
in Chrome 3?
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=22082

I seem to have the exact same problem. Chrome will not even successfully
load the
New Tab page, nor any other page. It doesn't show as trying to connect
(revolving
circle), it simply displays a white pasge and after a shile, Chrome reports
that "the following pages have become unresponsive". I did not notice that
Chrome
updated itself, nor was I aware I am currently running a new version
(3.0.19.21)
until just now, but Chrome was fine a while ago. IE works fine too, and no
other
applications seem to experience any problems.

1) I tried running Chrome without and with the --winhttp-proxy-resolver
command
parameter but both didn't work.

2) The LAN settings screen originally had all boxes unchecked, then I
checked the
auto LAN settings box and retried but this didn't help.

3) Chromium does not work and exhibits the exact same error as Chrome.

4) IE works fine.
